Why does god show favor to some?
God shows us favor when we express remorse over our sin. When guilt consumes us to the point of conviction. When we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved, (Romans 10:9).
God's favor, or grace, is God giving us the ability to do something which is humanly impossible for us to do. For example, it is only by God's undeserved favor that we can experience eternal life, and it is only by God's grace that we have the ability to live for the Lord.
(1) RIGHTEOUSNESS… one of the most important things that you must do is to pursue Righteousness, it is the gateway to divine favour. The Bible says for thou, Lord, Wilt bless the righteous, with favour Wilt thou compass him as a shield. (PSM 5:12).
To walk in God's favor is to trust God! To walk in God's favor is to care about the oppressed, the needy and the vulnerable. To walk in God's favor is to care for the community and a better world.
Favor brings supernatural increase, promotion, restoration, honor and many other benefits. Unfortunately, many Believers have never heard of God's favor, much less have experienced it in their lives. Favor is not only a gift, but it is a spiritual law that works every time a Believer applies it.
Favour is an act of kindness performed or granted out of goodwill. it is preferential treatment shown to somebody. When a man finds favour in the sight of God, that man will cease to struggle for anything he desires.
Your prayer empowers you with divine radiance. Until the spell ends, your weapon attacks deal and extra 1d4 radiant damage on a hit.
In our anchor scripture, Luke 1: 28, God sent His angel to reveal His verdict about the woman and it is: “Hail, thou art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: Blessed art thou among women.” The favoured woman in this context is Mary the mother of Jesus Christ.
This word is also used to describe God's favor, mercy and goodness in other passages like Psalm 84:11, Psalm 103:5 and Psalm 109:21. These powerful definitions of the words blessing and favor helps us understand that: God is good–and he bestows his goodness on his people.
Divine favour is being singled out by God for special treatment. It is at His exclusive and unquestionable bidding and pleasure. It means you have somehow found favour with Him against all odds. The natural laws and normal course of events are altered, cancelled or suspended just for you.
How do you respond to God's favor?
But the logical response to God's grace is to offer yourself as a living sacrifice. Paul wrote in Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
Psalms 84:11
11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
